The Team:
The Mattel Global Franchise Creative team develops style guides, manages global licensed product development, creative marketing communications and supports other franchise lines of business for Mattel brands.
The Opportunity:
The Global Product Development Designer supports creative approvals for Digital Gaming at Mattel and works on product development for Location Based Entertainment Merchandise. This role supports the Global Franchise Creative Manager for franchise lines of business and marketing creative. This position communicates directly with Digital Gaming, Location Based Entertainment, Brand teams and Franchise Creative Operations and Leadership.
This opportunity is a great fit for anyone who has a passion for video game design and ideally has worked with well-known brands. Ability to manage multiple projects is a must.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Digital Gaming creative direction, feedback and approvals
- Understanding of digital gaming creative assets and environments and able to provide feedback in alignment with brand guidelines
- Understanding of Illustration and character art development and able to provide feedback or draw-overs on character art
- Staying on top of game industry trends and the competitive landscape to help continually evolve our thinking
- Graphic design in alignment with brand creative and style guides
- Design of creative assets and product for Location Based Entertainment Merchandise
- Creative briefs, direction and feedback for external partners and creative agencies
- Immersion in Mattel brands, brand guidelines and style guides
What We're Looking For:
- BS/BA/BFA degree in design or relevant experience or
- 3-5 years relevant experience in gaming, licensing, graphic design or brand creative
- Illustration background a plus
- Digital Gaming background a plus
- Background in graphic design
- Brand approvals experience including experience with Asana, Brand Comply or similar tools
- Advanced skills in Power Point and Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to work on multiple projects / brands simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as presentation skills required
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Passion for digital games
- Knowledge of the consumer products industry (branding, design, advertising)
The annual base salary range for this position is between $52,400.00 - $92,000.00.
