Job board applications are not always compatible with company applicant tracking systems.** Overview Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist supporting TOS II, at AEDC in TN. The Training Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal and external candidates. Job Summary The Training Administrator / Specialist will support the Training function performing a broad range of administrative and technical tasks to develop and maintain systems and processes while leveraging effective communication skills and working relationships with management and employees across the mission areas. Job Duties:
- Responsible for the development, revision, and maintenance of Workforce Qualification, Safety, and other training in coordination with the Training Branch Manager and identified teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and managers across the mission areas to meet training requirements and needs.
- Ensures training courses meet applicable AEDC standards and requirements.
- Administers and maintains Training systems and processes and supports methods to improve Training services with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- Facilitates training courses and deploys training content on a variety of topics in coordination with stakeholders.
- Coordinates with Instructors on to schedule and facilitate both in-person and virtual classroom sessions, including New Hire Orientation.
- Provides customer support in the training kiosk area.
- Collaborates effectively with team members to meet mission needs and deadlines.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills across the mission areas.
- Maintains Workforce Qualification database and training systems through regular auditing, tracking, reporting, and input of Workforce Qualification data and other project milestones.
- Monitors training progress of workforce qualifications, learning paths, etc.
- Proctors Workforce Qualification Exams.
- Performs learning application administrator functions for all training systems.
- Reviews training packages and materials on a scheduled basis.
- Evaluates, tests, and implements training software, systems, and tools in coordination with IS&T and other Functions to ensure products meet technical requirements.
- Develops, writes, revises, and implements technical training materials, processes, plans, and procedures.
- Communicates effectively across the mission area with all levels of personnel.
- Coordinates for use of software applications and other technology utilized in the delivery of training (Webinars, Microsoft Teams, Training area equipment, etc.).
- Coordinates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Managers, and vendors for training delivery and scheduling.
- Assists with required internal and/or external audits and assessments.
- Supports existing Training systems and processes supports methods to improve Training services and systems with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer service.
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or other related field plus five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
- Current U. S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various groups across the
- mission areas.
- Demonstrated experience with Learning Management Systems and databases.
- Demonstrated experience in Education Methodology, preferably Adult Education.
- Possesses critical, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Skilled in preparation of written communications, oral presentations, and technical writing.
- Skilled in instructional system design.
- Skilled in developing and using reporting tools and managing data, including utilization of software programs such as Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, exercise sound, independent judgement
- and decision-making, take initiative to resolve issues, adapt to evolving environments, and support team success across the company.
- Must possess skills regarding the application of standard training techniques, processes, procedures, and criteria in carrying out mission critical training-related tasks.
- Experience in evaluation and implementation of training systems and tools.
- Experience in business enterprise information systems management, such as PeopleSoft, Oracle WAM, and OBI.
- Possesses ability to prioritize current and new work, managing both efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AEDC enterprise software applications (PeopleSoft,
- OracleBI, Oracle WAM, etc.).
- Experience with eLearning course development software, such as Articulate, Captivate, or other.
- Post-graduate coursework in K-12 or Adult Education preferred
