Your Job Define, develop, and oversee the implementation of new manufacturing processes-primarily for Raytheon connectors and cable assemblies-or improvements to existing processes. You'll ensure exceptional product quality, drive cost-efficiency, and maintain full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Our Team You will join our Manufacturing Engineering group, a collaborative team dedicated to delivering high-reliability interconnect solutions for aerospace and defense customers. We partner closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Operations to bring innovative, cost-effective manufacturing processes from concept to production. What You Will Do * Partner with design engineers to translate new product requirements into robust, compliant manufacturing processes * Lead process qualification efforts, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, First Article Inspections and Capability Studies * Analyze and optimize existing workflows-applying Lean layouts, work-force planning and digital-factory tools-to maximize efficiency * Collaborate with Quality Engineering on root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions * Develop Statements of Work for capital equipment and manage on-site vendor assessments and audits * Provide Design for Manufacturability feedback to upstream product teams, balancing cost, quality, and operator usability * Calculate and update accurate manufacturing costs for new or improved processes; track ROI and savings metrics * Employ Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and problem-solving across the production floor * Represent Manufacturing Engineering during customer visits, audits, and internal presentations Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent * 2-3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability interconnects * Working knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma problem-solving tools * Proficiency with CAD (PTC Creo or equivalent) for tooling, jig, and fixture design * Strong technical writing and presentation skills; able to tailor messages for engineers, managers, and customers What Will Put You Ahead * Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification * Experience developing cable-assembly or connector manufacturing processes for Raytheon or other aerospace primes * Demonstrated success in process qualification per NADCAP or similar standards * Familiarity with Digital Factory connectivity, MES systems, and data-driven process monitoring * Prior experience conducting supplier audits and negotiating complex Statements of Work At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
