The Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work is hiring two lecturer positions to teach the following course during the 2025 fall semester in the full-time Master of Social Work Program (MSW).

Social Work 100, 'So You Want to Change the World?'

Duties for each position includes:


  • Prepare an approved course syllabus in the context of the School's curriculum design and in light of any accreditation parameters.

  • Hold regularly scheduled office hours.

  • Construct, conduct, and grade appropriate course assignments (exams, papers, quizzes, etc.)

  • Invited (advised) to attend faculty meetings with voice, but no vote.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this part-time position is $16,700, which is prorated from a full-time, 9-month annual salary of $50,000, and may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
  • Record of excellence in teaching courses in the subject area and/or related work experience preferred.

Education:

A Master's in Social Work or related terminal degree required.
