Job Overview & Responsibilities At United Launch Alliance, an Aerospace Technician - Precision Clean Lab Valve Tech performs work in all phases of launch operations, including but not limited to the following: Perform receipt, transportation, storage, installation, checkout, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, calibration, fabrication, welding, machining, modification, alteration, troubleshooting, final servicing and testing of structural, mechanical and fluid systems; space vehicles and flight hardware; airborne and ground ordnance; airborne and ground electrical, electronic, instrumentation and range safety equipment, test instruments and gauges; launch support facility systems and aerospace ground support equipment. Perform test and operational procedures. Perform quality inspection, receiving and specialized calibration tasks as assigned. Breaking down, precision cleaning, assembling and testing valves. Will travel (approx. 25%) and work overtime, extended hours and other shifts as needed. Job duties require traveling between locations on the military base throughout the course of the day. Required Education High School/GED Required Years of Experience Minimum of 4 years of related work experience Basic Qualifications Proven experience as a valve technician or similar role in an industrial setting Strong knowledge of valve mechanics and operating principles Proficiency in using multimeter for testing purposes Ability to read drawings and schematics Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and personal transportation to drive between work locations on a military base where public transportation is not available.Job duties require traveling between locations on the military base throughout the course of the day. Ability to travel (25%), work overtime, extended hours and weekends as needed Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance is required. US citizenship is required.
