Overview
The Administrative Fellow performs leadership projects as directed and pursues projects in areas of interest. Project areas may include: hospital or clinic operations, finance, program development, strategic planning, population health/ACO operations, supply chain, marketing, market analysis, facilities and space planning, information systems and/or human resources. Serves as project leader or coordinator on assigned projects and committees. Contributes as an integral member of the Executive Team and attends all meetings and Executive Council. Must be able to travel between various Mercyhealth locations. This position may be exposed to very tight deadlines which could involve extended hours and urgent requests associated with accomplishing special assignments. Performs other duties as assigned. Culture of Excellence Behavior Expectations To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following behavior expectations: Education and Experience Recent graduate of an accredited (CAHME preferred) master's level program in Health Administration or currently enrolled in an accredited (CAHME preferred) Master's Level Program in Health Administration that requires an Administrative Fellowship to complete graduation. In addition, candidates may be recent graduates of other accredited master's level programs such as MBA, MPA, or MPH. Coursework must be completed prior to the start of the fellowship. Relevant work experience in a hospital, health system, or other pertinent health care setting is preferred. Level of Supervision Day to day supervision is provided by the Executive Team. Directly reports to the Vice President of Community Hospitals with support and mentorship from all other Vice Presidents.
