Quality Control Chemist

Pay / Schedule: $30 - $38/hr (DOE). Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm + OT Opportunity. At 50 hours per week, and $38/hr, earn weekly paychecks of $2,090 gross.

The Metrology Specialist plays a key role in managing the metrology program across the company's sites, serving as a subject matter expert in analytical instrumentation. This position involves executing and overseeing metrology studies, instrument qualifications, and calibration programs to ensure analytical accuracy, compliance, and business continuity. The specialist collaborates with Quality Assurance, leads technical investigations, writes whitepapers, and ensures all instruments and methods meet regulatory and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with GC equipment, a strong foundation in chemistry, and a commitment to analytical precision.

Key Requirements:

• Gas Chromatography (GC) Expertise - 3-5 years of hands-on experience setting up, calibrating, and operating GC equipment.
• Metrology Study Execution - Proven ability to perform and document studies such as IDL, MDL, accuracy, linearity, GR&R, and tool matching.
• Instrument Qualification & Calibration - Experience managing long-term equipment stability, calibration schedules, and performance verification.
• Analytical Chemistry Techniques - In-depth knowledge of methods for detecting and characterizing trace impurities in chemicals.
• Technical Documentation & Whitepapers - Skilled in authoring scientific reports, whitepapers, and customer-facing documentation related to metrology.
