The QR & Training Analyst ensures the highest quality output from the Professional Billing Department by conducting regular Quality Reviews on the work of the Patient Billers, providing feedback, as well as planning, developing and conducting training in both group and individual settings.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.
- Experience supervising and/or training medical billing staff on a variety of professional billing functions
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience/training
- Demonstrated expertise with the EPIC Resolute billing application its functions
- Experience supervising and/or training medical billing staff on a variety of professional billing functions
- Strong knowledge and broad understanding of third party professional billing, including but not limited to Medicare, Medicare HMO, Medi-Cal, Managed Care Medi-Cal, major commercial and workman's compensation payers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically, the ability to delineate clear, concise and comprehensive instructions and directives
- Ability to work cooperatively and constructively with other employees and with the administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising and/or training medical billing staff on a variety of professional billing functions.
- Public speaking skills and experience facilitating group discussions.
- Experience with a variety of reporting and data organizational tools and other software applications including, but not limited to MICROSOFT EXCEL, BUSINESS OBJECTS, MICROSOFT WORD, POWER POINT, VISIO and OUTLOOK.

- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Department Overview
The Professional Billing Group (PBG) provides billing and collection services for approximately 1,200+ UCD School of Medicine faculty physicians and other providers. The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Trainer is responsible for monitoring and improving the overall quality and effectiveness of the PBG billing and follow up staff. The QA Analyst/Trainer will proactively identify and address quality issues that result in delayed and/or decreased reimbursement. The primary responsibilities span the entire Revenue Cycle and include: staff Quality Review (QR) scoring, quality analysis, identification of global quality issues, and training support.
