UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for an Auxiliary Facilities Supervisor. The full salary range for the Auxiliary Facilities Supervisor is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $103,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
The Auxiliary Facilities Supervisor reports to the Associate Director of Auxiliary Facilities and plays a key leadership role in supporting maintenance operations across more than 3 million square feet of diverse facilities. These include student housing, dining, administrative offices, early childhood education centers, and parking structures. This position directly supervises Senior Building Maintenance Workers and is responsible for the assignment and execution of semi-skilled building maintenance tasks. Reviews plans, specifications, and requisitions for projects to establish daily, weekly, and long-range work schedules. Obtains and maintains stock inventory of parts, materials and equipment necessary for timely completion of work order requests. Coordinates, facilitates and monitors, safety and technical, training programs. Ensures safety procedures are followed and maintained. Promotes and maintains a strong customer service focused environment and cooperative teamwork philosophy in the unit. Responsible for daily operational administration and personnel management, including staffing, hiring, training, disciplinary action, termination, and performance management. Maintains knowledge of building and safety codes, hazardous material handling and disposal, and labor contracts. Ensures timely and effective responses to work order requests, triages maintenance calls, and coordinates closely with the Admin Operations call center. The role also works in partnership with custodial teams and skilled trades supervisors to manage evening, weekend, and emergency coverage. The role provides backup support to the Facilities Supervisor 1 overseeing Resource Management, including event setups and furniture moves. This is a hands-on, service-focused supervisory role that demands excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
