Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Director of Engineering Operations is a senior leadership role focused on driving operational excellence across the engineering organization. This role serves as a critical link between engineering execution and business strategy, ensuring teams operate with efficiency, deliver high-quality outcomes, and align with broader company objectives.

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Director to lead the growth and scale of Salesforce's Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) Program. As part of the Engineering Strategy & Operations team, this role is responsible for building a world-class technical enablement and deployment program that empowers engineers to tackle complex customer challenges using the Salesforce Platform. You will be responsible for defining onboarding experiences, technical training programs, and engagement models that prepare engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

Your efforts will lay the groundwork for how FDEs drive platform adoption, enhance technical health, and accelerate customer time-to-value in the field. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends strategic program ownership, technical acumen, and operational scale. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across

  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and customer-first problem solving.

  • Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance to new and existing FDEs.

  • Build pathways for engineers to progress from onboarding to technical leadership in the field.

Program & Technical Strategy
  • Define the technical vision for the Engineering program, ensuring alignment with Salesforce platform best practices, guardrails, and product roadmaps.

  • Build scalable onboarding, training, and certification programs to equip FDEs with deep Salesforce technical expertise across the platform, Revenue Cloud, and Industries solutions.

  • Develop and scale technical engagement models (e.g., Implementation, MVP, Advisory) for repeatable, high-impact customer engagements.

  • Drive operational frameworks for knowledge sharing, reusable code assets, and engagement playbooks across the FDE community.

  • Evaluate program outcomes using data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine future strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Salesforce Product and Engineering teams to align field feedback with product improvements.

  • Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services to define technical handoffs and ensure long-term customer success.

  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex deployments and customer technical blockers.
