Job Title: Contracts Specialist /Contracts Administrator(RFPs/RFQs)

Pay Rate: $36.00 /hr on W2

Location: 101 Friendship Street Providence 02903 RI

Duration: 06+ months

Hours/week: 35 hours

Must Have:


  • Contract Management/ Contract compliance.
  • Procurement policies/ Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Single Source Justifications.
  • Monthly invoice review.
  • Associate's Degree.
  • On street parking only or you may use garage/lot parking with daily/monthly fee.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Associate Director of Financial and Contract Management (or designee) within the client.
  • This position is responsible for the effective administration of assigned contracts for all departmental services.
  • The role involves active collaboration with service providers and vendors to improve system outcomes and ensure full compliance with contract terms.


Required Skills:

  • Administer and monitor assigned contracts to ensure they align with client goals, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and implement the principles of Active Contract Management (ACM) to support compliance, efficiency, and performance-based results.
  • Assist with the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, including renewals, amendments, and scopes of work.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Single Source Justifications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to address performance issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to program staff and vendors related to contractual requirements and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's procurement and contract management operations.
  • Responsible for monthly invoice review and resolution from the Department's multiple vendors.


Required Work Experience:

  • Experience administering and monitoring contract compliance.
  • Experience assisting with the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, including renewals, amendments, and scopes of work.


Required Education:

  • Associate's Degree.
