What you'll do:

• Assembles machine parts at close tolerance form blueprint instructions.
• Ensures that all parts are available for subassembly by checking parts in boxes against bill of materials.
• Works with engineering department to determine that blueprints or spec sheets are correct.
• Gathers hardware including nuts, bolts and screws for assembly.
• Drills or saws parts when necessary.
• Assists in moving machinery using a chain hoist, electric lift truck or hand dolly truck.

What you'll need to have:

• Previous mechanical experience such as production mechanic, auto mechanic -certification required-, machine shop experience or hands-on machine shop classes.
• Must have ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometer, vernier, calipers, etc.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must have good communications skills.
• Must pass company administered mechanical test.
• Experience with all types of hand tools, drill press, floor standing saw and electric lift truck.
