The primary responsibilities of this position are to define, plan and support AD architecture, road mapping and support processes. Research, develop and implement new tools and procedures aimed at making platform maintenance more effective and efficient and identify processes that can be automated. Additional duties include working on system design, resolving complex server/storage/system capacity issues, performance configuration and providing security analysis implementations. Responsibilities:
Provide ultimate responsibility for design, architecture, implementation and support of Microsoft Active Directory and key subcomponents Implement scalable solutions to support critical infrastructure services running in Active Directory, such as LDAP, DNS, and authentication and identity solutions Develops new tools and procedures aimed at making platform maintenance more effective and efficient, identifying processes that can be automated. Design, document, test, and implement appropriate backup and disaster-recovery mechanisms for all Microsoft enterprise platforms Perform root-cause analysis of complex issues ranging through hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with a variety of infrastructure teams and business users to implement long-term solutions Work closely with administrators, architects and engineers to structure and define appropriate domain structure, sites, services, trusts, and OU/GPO hierarchy to support all elements of end-user, desktop, server and core processing platforms Ensures that all supported systems are highly reliable, secure, and performing at acceptable levels. Collaborate with Governance, Risk and Compliance to mitigate vulnerabilities, define and implement security policies and baseline standards Communicates with vendors and other groups to determine project, technology, and business needs.
Education Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
5+ years' experience in Windows Active Directory environments Expert knowledge on Windows 2022 & 2025 Active Directory architecture and design Expert knowledge on Enterprise Active Directory cross-forest migrations Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server and Windows networking
Preferred Requirements:
Expert in all phases of Active Directory design and engineering Expert knowledge of software engineering tools and systems platform management technologies Advanced knowledge of a technical/business environment Ability to engage with internal customers without direction
