Description

BlueHalo, an AV company, is seeking an experienced Operations/Military Analyst to work in the Operations Center (OPCEN) at United States Army Central (USARCENT) Main Command Post (MCP), a deployable Army Service Component Command (ASCC) headquarters supporting ongoing missions in the United States Army Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). The role is responsible for supporting twenty-four-hour continuous operations and directly coordinating with Combatant Commands, Army Commands, Government Agencies, Joint Task Forces, other Services, and coalition forces to maintain situational awareness and sustain uninterrupted communications with higher, lower, and supporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Operations/Military Analyst will prepare and facilitate the execution of the USARCENT Commanders Update Brief (CUB) between the Main Command Post (MCP), Operational Command Post (OCP), and Subordinate Commands. They will ensure all briefing products are prepared before each CUB, Current Operations Synchronization, Operations & Intelligence Update (O&I), and other briefings as required. The analyst will receive, analyze, consolidate, and distribute weekly subordinate command and staff executive summaries, as well as receive, analyze, and prepare the Operation and Intelligence (O&I) emails and briefings. They will track and report Serious Incident Reports (SIR) and Commander's Critical Information Requirements (CCIR) as received/sent to the Command Group, battle track and monitor the status of Third Army Exercises, Deployments, and Theater Security Cooperation Events, and receive and analyze all higher, subordinate command, and liaison officer communications, identifying issues and tracking their resolution.

Maintaining situational awareness of OCUNUS/CONUS-wide activities that may impact USARCENT operations, force movements, plans, and orders, the analyst will determine stated and implied impacts on the command's mission and resources. They will prepare concise and accurate written communications, maintain continuous 24/7 communications with OCP, higher, adjacent, lower, and supporting operations centers, and perform initial/primary USARCENT interface with component command centers and staffs on matters concerning ongoing operations, exercises, training, mobilization, readiness, incoming operational and emergency information, and recommend appropriate command actions in crisis situations. Additionally, the analyst will track the duty status of USARCENT Command Group and subordinate commanders, maintain Battle Drills and Continuity Books, ensure reports are submitted on time, and provide input to and facilitate the daily COIC Brief conducted at 0500R and 1700R to facilitate coordination and situational awareness among MCP and OCP staff sections. In coordination with OCP, they will maintain and update the Common Operating Picture (COP), receive, prepare, and distribute the USARCENT Situational Report (SITREP) and Subordinate Commanders Comments, and ensure communications systems are monitored 24/7 (NIPR, SIPR, AMHS, CPOF). The analyst will maintain proficiency on all automated and audiovisual systems, and administrative procedures, and prepare the USARCENT/TCFLCC Daily Operational Update.

This position is 100% onsite at Shaw AFB and work will include night/weekend shifts, in support of a 24/7 Operations Center.

Required Skills:



  • 12-16 years of experience with military organization and demonstrated experience working in a contractor position supporting government customers.
  • Experience should be primarily in an operations environment. The performance of this service requires personnel with a minimum of operational and staff experience of 12 months at the battalion staff as an S3/XO, or higher, or a minimum of 6 months of experience at a Service Component Command or Combatant Command Headquarters is preferred.
  • Ability to produce deliverables in formats as required by staff leadership. Formats may include standard Microsoft documents (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), electronic/soft copy matrices, and/or web-enabled formats.
  • An active Secret level clearance
