Job Description

The Senior Specialist plays a key role in providing expert paralegal support within a dynamic legal team focused on Technology, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Protection Products, and Enterprise Services. Working under limited attorney supervision, this position offers an exciting opportunity to become a subject matter expert in complex legal research, driving proactive identification, analysis, and monitoring of emerging legal issues.

In addition to managing the intake of new matters and maintaining accurate data in the case management system, the Senior Specialist ensures all relevant documents are gathered and organized to empower attorneys with the critical information they need. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional eager to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced, evolving legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on complex issues, including fact-finding, analyzing statutes, regulations, and case law, and preparing clear, concise summaries of findings.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in legal research and transactional support, demonstrating advanced proficiency in online legal research platforms and managing transactional processes with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Exercise sound judgment in determining when additional research or analysis is necessary to support legal strategies.
  • Maintain and manage corporate records and archives in full compliance with records retention policies and legal requirements.
  • Proactively identify and monitor emerging legal issues, summarizing key developments and providing timely recommendations and updates to attorneys.
  • Analyze new and proposed legislation to assess its relevance and potential impact on the organization.
  • Collect and organize case-related documentation for attorney review and analysis.
  • Manage intake of new legal matters, including entering data into tracking systems and uploading relevant documentation.
  • Review and interpret legal forms for internal clients, providing clear explanations and guidance as needed.
  • Comfortable and effective working in a remote or virtual office environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience supporting in-house legal counsel or corporate legal departments is highly desirable.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $29.81 - 44.71 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
