Position Summary:
To provide the overall supervision and direction for the Children's Center, licensed childcare facility, and associated programs including Schweitzer Adventure Camp and ski lesson program for ages 4-6years old. Supervises front desk sales staff, childcare workers, ski instructors, and camp counselors.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of Children's Center programs by performing the following:
- Operate a safe, fun and entertaining program for children ages 3 months to 10 years old
- Responsible for hiring, training, and oversight of staff and their licensing requirements
- Responsible for operating childcare facility within Idaho childcare licensing laws and maintaining the childcare license
- Provide and supervise experiences including indoor play, crafts, and outdoor play
- Plans and provide healthy meals and snacks, including food order oversight
- Is responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of the Children's Center facility
- Plan, organize and oversee programs such as Kids Night Out and kid craft hour
- Plan, organize and oversee ski lesson program for ages 4-6 years
- Plan, organize and oversee 9 week summer camp program
- Responsible for the general safety and wellbeing of children
- Organize and maintain information systems and booking protocols
- Assist in the development and in maintaining the Children's Center budget
- Be financially accountable for all functions of the Children's Center including adjusting labor according to business levels to match projected revenues.
- In all areas of operation, conduct business with the highest levels of guest service and safety.

Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications - Driver's license required, qualify and be willing to obtain class C commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
Technical - Computer, Windows-based computer programs including Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Brightwheel app as well as our Point of Sale system.
Physical Capabilities - Able to work 2 hours of paperwork (sedentary) per shift and 6 hours of combined walking /standing/ kneeling/ bending/ spinning activity. Will lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds rarely. Intermediate skiing preferred.
Additional - Ability to prioritize and delegate, excellent communication skills, both oral and written; excellent people / relationship building skills; ability to inspire staff; detailed, accurate, organized and great attitude required. Love of children and their parents required.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required - Bachelor degree with early childhood development focus preferred
Minimum time in related position - 2 years related childcare experience preferred. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Cash handling and bookkeeping preferred.
