PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As the leader overseeing key railway infrastructure, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving bridges, culverts, retaining walls, buildings, and other facilities across a critical territory from Kansas City to Chicago. Leading a team of about 12 unionized employees, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and full compliance with standards, policies, regulations, and operating rules. This is more than a technical role-it's an opportunity to drive impact. By providing strong leadership, you'll help foster a culture of safety, reliability, and excellence, ensuring the structures department functions seamlessly to support the safe and efficient operation of the railway network. Management Conductor Program Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
