Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Engineer, Software Lead in Dallas, TX. Duties are to lead requirements gathering meetings with application teams, Database Administrators, and/or business partners to understand business needs. Responsible for the entire flow of the data into the Data Warehouse. Responsible for developing Informatica packages used in the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for EDW. Developing and maintaining the Operational data stores (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated data intelligence environments including data lakes, data marts, and metadata repositories. Designing and implementing performance data movement pipelines using multiple ETL tools with batch and real-time event data streams. Gathering business and information requirements from various product owners across various functional units. Ensures database features and capabilities are incorporated into data model designs to optimize performance, resiliency, and scalability. Delivering and presenting proofs of concept of key technology components to project stakeholders and internal technology leaders. Problem-solving of Data warehouse and ODS application issues and production errors, including high level critical production issues that require immediate attention. Create and optimize data structures for reporting and data integration. Contribute and participate in discussions with implementation of metadata tools for EDW (business glossary, data lineage). Perform design implementation and support of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) and data structures within all layers of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment. Support offshore resources to drive data projects end to end. Requires a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or in an IT related field plus 7 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or in a role/capacity engaged in software design and development.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 6 years of experience in PL/SQL and Shell scripting. 5 years of experience utilizing software development methodologies (Agile and Scrum). 4 years of experience with software development tools (ETL, Real-time and batch data integration, Informatica PowerCenter, IICS and IDQ). 4 years of experience completing software development projects (Enterprise Data Marts, Data Processing pipelines, Real-time data ingestion, Data Engineering and analytics). 2 years of experience utilizing cloud-based platforms and services with IICS and AWS. 3 years of experience leading technical projects and teams. 4 years of experience using an Informatica, data quality, and data profiles using IDQ or IICS. 6 years of experience designing data warehouses for metrics driven Business Intelligence and reporting. 5 years of experience performing Data Warehouse Architecture and providing hands-on data model designs to optimize performance, resiliency, and scalability.
