Salary range:
Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Neurology ranging from $220,000.00 - $289,940.00. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. The Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine, anticipates openings for qualified candidates for all ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Professor) in following specialties: General Neurology Candidates must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable to the HS Clinical Professor series. The incumbent will participate in patient care, teach residents and students, perform university and public service, and demonstrate professional competency and activity. Positions are dependent upon funding. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support. Candidate must hold a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s). Candidate must be board eligible or board certified. Candidate must be eligible for California licensure or licensed to practice in the state of California. Board eligibility in the specialty appropriate to the clinical care and teaching activities, or have appropriate equivalent recognition. Demonstrate clinical ability commensurate with experience in a Neurology specialty.
