Job Summary

Provide customer with quotes for fabrication fire protection materials and ensure that the fabrication branches have all the necessary paperwork to fulfill each order. Work closely with vendors, customers and fabrication branches to provide both the customer and branch with accurate estimates, quotes and cost of product. Builds customer relationships internally and externally and provides them with the tools to assist them in their fabrication needs.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Creates quotes on fire protection fabrication materials for customers and follows up with sales branch to make adjustments and sends to customer.
• Converts customer's data into the hydra-tec /hydra list or sprink-cad software program to develop the actual fabrication material and labor stocklist.
• Communicates with customers to ensure accuracy with their fabrication lists and makes suggestions as needed for easier installation.
• Handles fabrication schedules and updates for customers as needed on their current and previous orders.
• Works with sales branches in getting job information sheets started and verifying current credit rating of customer prior to starting a quote.
• Researches and updates replacement costs in the system.
• Keeps track of all quotes by fabrication branch and provides each branch with a monthly report.
• Maintains monthly reports to update branches on their customer data.
• Responds to customer questions and problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hydro list and/or sprink-cad software systems.
• HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness..
• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Pay: $18.82 - $25.09 per hour.
