Strategic Business Development

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Army C5ISR domain.
  • Provide critical linkages between the long-term strategic plan and near-term new business actions.
  • Partner with the Army Business Unit leaders, Business Development VP and Technical/Functional teams to ensure effective use of business development and resources across the Division and Company.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve targets and business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Army community.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Facilitation of Meetings and Demonstrations:

  • Organize and facilitate meetings for capability briefings and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare presentations, proposals, and materials for client meetings.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication between all parties involved in the meetings.

Expansion of Market Reach:

  • Identify adjacent Army opportunities based on existing customer base and personal connections.
  • Attend conferences, industry days, and networking events to generate leads and establish new client relationships.
  • Represent the company professionally and effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, related technical field, or Business and minimum of 12 years of experience with Army customers or within Army Programs and/or R&D organizations.
  • Direct experience with Army C5ISR customers to include PEO IEW&S, PEO C3N, C5ISR Center, CECOM, DEVCOM ARL and DEVCOM Analysis Center.
  • Strong understanding of DoD/ Army operations, procurement processes, and contracting mechanisms.
  • Established relationships with Army C5ISR customers, stakeholders, and influencers, with demonstrated ability to develop and foster new relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • This position is in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD area and may include up to 20% travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience in Army C5ISR, Cyber, and IT technical expertise with 12+ years focused on the Army's efforts in C5ISR Networks to include Network communications, Electronic Warfare and Command/Control systems.
  • Proven growth success in Army C5ISR and adjacent Army markets.
  • Knowledge of business development best practices, processes, and techniques, coupled with the ability to come up to speed quickly with MTSI procedures.
  • Additional knowledge and experience with adjacent capabilities in the areas of Enterprise IT; Cyber Operations, ITSM and Managed Services; Data Center, Cloud and Cloud Migration; Data Transport and Systems Integration; Application Development and Modernization; Big Data and Data Analytics is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance to start; US Citizenship required
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility desired
