The successful applicant will be an experienced Senior Systems Engineer providing support to the USSOCOM PEO-FW (Program Executive Office - Fixed Wing) Strike acquisition and integration efforts. They will provide critical technical expertise in software-defined systems and AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar technology and will work closely with the Program Manager to coordinate and execute program activities across various stakeholders, including Combat Acquisition Detachments and industry partners.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key technical advisor to the USSOCOM PEO-FW Strike Program Manager.
  • Provide expert-level systems engineering support for the acquisition, integration, and sustainment of complex strike systems, with a focus on software-defined systems and AESA radar technology.
  • Collaborate with Combat Acquisition Detachments (CADs) to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Coordinate program activities with various government and industry partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and integration procedures.
  • Participate in system design reviews and provide technical assessments.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with program execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to AESA radar systems and software integrations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies and roadmaps.
  • May require occasional travel to support program activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems, or related field) required, or Bachelors and 18+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on complex electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AESA radar technology, including system design, integration, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of software-defined systems and related technologies.
  • Experience working with USSOCOM or other special operations forces is highly desirable.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance by date of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with airborne radar systems.
  • Experience with military communication systems.
  • Experience with electronic warfare systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant military standards and specifications.
  • Experience working on-site in a government client environment.
