Location

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.



Job Description

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is a true outdoor recreation, entertainment and culinary destination paying homage to the heritage and modern progress of the city. With 605 guest rooms and suites, the luxury hotel showcases views of the 70-acre Scissortail Park and the downtown skyline with 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space, sports bar, specialty restaurant, coffee shop and a retail venue.

The Human Resources Generalist will provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources. They will support the Human Resource function by providing a warm greeting and environment for all associates in the hotel, assist in all areas of the division, and maintain a positive helpful working environment for our associates.



Responsibilities

    Partner with Shared Services to ensure efficient recruitment process.
  • Post job openings and create weekly openings list for distribution.
  • Audit personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Lead weekly onboarding classes and maintain onboarding materials.

  • Enter new associates information into Ultipro as needed.

  • Log and file employee documents to maintain accurate files.
  • Assist with entry level formal documentations as directed.
  • Assist with answering associate inquires and provide prompt follow up.
  • Conduct hourly associate 45 Day Stay Interviews and provide associate feedback to the leadership team.
  • Create and distribute monthly Training Calendar and coordinate meeting space when applicable.
  • Distribute Weekly Compliance report and ensure there is follow up on required action items.
  • Send licensing communication to associates.
  • Complete Unemployment inquires.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence processing.
  • Lead engaging community outreach efforts based on associate feedback.
  • Assist with coordinating employee relations events and create publicity as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred; degree in Human Resources strongly preferred.
  • 3 years relevant customer service/administrative experience required.
  • 2 years Human Resources experience required
  • Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, guest service and teamwork.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency; specifically with Microsoft Office and Windows.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the hotel.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an extended period.
  • Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 15 lbs.

Working Environment:

  • Office environment.

  • Computer, copy/print/scan/fax machine, files
  • Microsoft Office, UltiPro, iCims, Birchstreet, Concur, DocuSign.
