Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an NEC Project Lead to support cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This Role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies, collaborating with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise.

This is a full-time position located at Offutt AFB, NE



Responsibilities

    Managing the systems engineering and architecture team.
  • Ensuring technical/financial solutions and schedules in the specific delivery orders are implemented promptly.
  • Organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects.
  • Ensuring quality products, including engineering analysis reports and services, are delivered on time and following Apogee's quality assurance methodologies.
  • Collaborating with customer points of contact and Apogee leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks and/or issues.
  • Coordinating and facilitating team inputs for regular task order status reporting and special deliverables to advance high-priority Government initiatives.
  • Assisting in Apogee hiring, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensuring staff are qualified and cleared to meet customer performance requirements.
  • Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time.


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience to include:

  • Leading technical teams and efforts
  • Technical Program Management
  • Expertise in system architecture
