Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a J56 BSA Defenses to support cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies, collaborating with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise.

This is a full-time position located on-site at Offutt, Nebraska.



Responsibilities

    Lead business systems analysis efforts to support J56 defense operations, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with mission-critical requirements.

  • Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with defense program managers, logistics teams, and operational units to capture evolving needs.

  • Analyze and document complex business processes unique to defense support functions, driving improvements in efficiency and accountability.

  • Coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure all system changes meet strict defense, security, and regulatory standards.

  • Oversee integration of defense support systems with allied and joint-force platforms, ensuring interoperability and data consistency.

  • Develop and manage test plans, including scenario-based testing that reflects real-world defense operational environments.

  • Provide timely reporting and impact assessments to leadership, supporting informed decision-making and mission readiness.



Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility

Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience to include:

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting the DoD

On-site: Duties for this position are performed on-site, full-time
