Job Duties:
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is seeking a Research Specialist to join Dr. Nork's Laboratory. This position will perform benchwork duties and will be working with animals in Dr. Nork's Research Lab in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. The Nork Lab investigates animal models of eye disorders. The lab routinely does both histopathological (light and electronnicroscopy) as well as functional (visual electrophysiology) studies. This is a unique opportunity to work with laboratory animals of various species including monkey, rabbit and rodent. Key Job Responsibilities:

Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $44,543; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Bachelors Degree preferred. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or similar will be given first consideration.
