Job Title: Associate Technical Analyst. Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 days remote) Travel

Requirements: Minimal to no travel outside of the greater Chicago area, but will need to move around local office locations on a routine basis.

Position Summary

The Associate Technical Analyst is part of our Global Technology Support Operations team. This role is based in Chicago and blends onsite support, remote operations work, project support, and training of technicians. The position provides direct technology support at our key Chicago locations, assists with operational initiatives, and plays a role in developing our broader support teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Onsite personalized support (4 days per week):
    • Provide in-person technology support across three primary Chicago locations:
      • Adams Street, Fulton Market, and McCook
    • Act as the local point of contact for walk-up support, device imaging, hardware troubleshooting, and escalated incidents.
    • Support visiting executives and leadership teams, ensuring seamless technology experiences.
    • Coordinate and manage hardware and software setup, updates and replacements, including the configuration of laptops, mobile devices, and tablets.
    • Partner with other IT teams to escalate and resolve issues efficiently, working cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery of technology services.
    • Assist with local events requiring technical support.
    • Remote support (1 days per week - Friday):
      • Handle Chicago-based incidents and requests, including retail service desk tickets and local office needs.
      • Monitor and respond to alerts from our Technology Operations Center (TOC), contributing to proactive issue resolution.
      • Maintain and enhance documentation in Confluence to drive technician knowledge and consistency.
  • Team development & operations:
    • Support process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and consistency across global support operations.
    • Conduct occasional off-hours support to accommodate varying schedules, with a low volume of after-hours incidents expected.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or a technical helpdesk role, with exposure to both onsite and remote troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and common collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly explain technical concepts to a variety of users.
  • Willingness to support local events and executive visits, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
