We Require

  • Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or purchasing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Three or more years ofaccounting, bookkeeping, finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or purchasing experience
  • Two or more years of banking experience
  • Experience with court filings, scheduling hearings, and reviewing minute entries and court orders
  • Experience with Trust/Fiduciary Accounting
  • Experience with iCIS for research and compliance tracking
  • Licensed Fiduciary with the Arizona Supreme Court
  • Proficiency in CGI Advantage Financial System

Job Contributions

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the client assigned fiduciary and supervisor, client providers/vendors, attorney vendors, County Finance and Procurement Department Representatives, the Social Security Administration, the Veterans Administration, the Department of Economic Security, Medicare, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System and the public as a whole
  • Reviews documents to determine applicability and accuracy prior to entry in the county and fiduciary system(s)
  • Performs electronic funds transactions (EFT)and manages Positive Pay through ongoing communications with the servicing financial institution(s)
  • Prepares and processes county expenditures, fiduciary accounts payables and recurring expenditures
  • Manages and processes all claims and invoices for daily payment, ensuring proper documentation is provided
  • Monitors client balances monthly for the continuation of government income entitlements based on over over-resource threshold eligibility
  • Provides timely and accurate posting of receipts and disbursements in accordance with department segregation of duties
  • Maintains an appropriate inventory of office equipment and supplies
  • Creates and monitors SharePoint financial action requests

Working Conditions

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver's License by the time of hire
  • Work is performed in an indoor office environment serving an extremely fast-paced fiduciary business
  • Interruptions, time pressures, a high volume of work, handling multiple or complicated tasks, unscheduled and frequently changing tasks, accuracy, decision making, concentration, vigilance, teamwork, workingin close proximity toothers, and public contact may be constant occurrences
  • May be required tolift upto 40 pounds floor to waist and up to 30 pounds waist to shoulder
  • May be required to carry, push/pull up to 10 poundsa distance of 20feet
