Job Details

This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.

Under general direction of the Regional Vice President, the Regional Director oversees the operational stations across North America who are responsible for the daily inbound and outbound shipments for World Courier customers and offices outside North America.

Working closely with the Country and Customer Service Managers, this position provides support to the region by managing the day to day duties in operations, brokerage, packaging, agents, and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure procedures are implemented and field offices are compliant with all SOPs, procedures, and TSA regulations.
  • Use KPIs to track overall World Courier regional and individual station performance.
  • Ensure quality hiring procedures are in place to maintain excellence in our brokerage, packaging, agents, and facilities work force.
  • Complete employee performance reviews, salary reviews and driver mileage reimbursement
  • Work with Quality Assurance and the operations team to complete and monitor all exception reports and incidents and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure operational equipment needs are met, monitoring usage and replacements as needed
  • Ensure new employee and recurrent training is completed.
  • Monitor airline performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local and national government agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA, TSA, FAA etc)
  • Work nationally and globally with managers/offices on issues.
  • Build and maintain client, agent and vendor relationships.
  • Establish and implement security procedures as part of our C-TPAT program.
  • Establish / implement security procedures as part of TSA IAC and CCSF programs.
  • Manage AES system and US export compliance.
  • Monitor performance and productivity measures for the purpose of maximizing earnings and expenses in each of the distribution centers; prepares regional roll-up reporting.
  • Prepare regional summary of physical inventory results.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
