Senior Network Broadcasting Engineer - Arista Specialist Location: Bristol, CT (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Client Site: A client of TEKsystems About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Network Broadcasting Engineer with deep expertise in Arista-based network architecture to join a high-performance engineering team supporting a major media and entertainment client. This role is centered around designing, operating, and optimizing Arista-driven broadcast and IP networks in one of the most advanced live production environments in the industry. As the Arista subject matter expert, you will lead the implementation of spine-leaf data center topologies, multicast routing, and PTP synchronization for real-time media transport. This is a hands-on, architecture-level role ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, live broadcast environments and are passionate about building scalable, low-latency infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as the lead architect and operator for Arista-based broadcast networks * Design and maintain spine-leaf topologies using Arista EOS and CloudVision Portal (CVP) * Engineer and support SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, and PTP-based media transport systems * Optimize multicast routing, traffic shaping, and QoS for live and remote productions * Collaborate with engineering, production, and IT teams to support evolving workflows, including hybrid cloud models * Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex, high-impact incidents * Maintain detailed network documentation and operational standards * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term network strategy Required Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in broadcast and/or network engineering * Expert-level knowledge of Arista networking, including EOS, CVP, multicast, QoS, VLANs, and segmentation * Proven experience with SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, PTP, and SDI workflows * Familiarity with broadcast control systems (e.g., Evertz Magnum, Lawo VSM) * Strong background in data center design, especially spine-leaf architectures * Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: * Arista ACE certifications or equivalent advanced networking credentials * Experience supporting Tier-1 broadcast operations or major sports networks * Familiarity with cloud-based media workflows (AWS, Azure, hybrid infrastructure) * Experience with large-scale live production environments Why This Role? * Be the Arista authority in a world-class broadcast engineering environment * Work with cutting-edge IP media transport and real-time production technologies * Influence the future of live sports and entertainment infrastructure * Competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term career growth *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $88.94 - $108.17/hr.
