Job Title: Records Analyst

Location: Torrance, CA 90501

Duration: 3+ Months


Description:

Under general supervision, is responsible for supporting Records Management with established processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Records Management practices and have experience in following a company document retention policy, working with the classification of documents, and be able to communicate company objectives to various levels of management within the client to achieve our goals. They also need to be able to communicate with IT teams the policy and retention requirements, as we are working with many IT project teams to ensure appropriate measures are in place for managing the documents. This role will involve analyzing large datasets, creating detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct information gathering sessions with key contacts from each department to review and inventory the documents that the department is responsible for creating and/or maintaining.
  • Create and/or modify the Document Retention Schedule for each department
  • Coordinate and confirm that system updates are completed correctly
  • Assist with physical inventory remediation (review documentation, classify documents per the document retention schedule, and identify the department responsible for documents)
  • Assess IT systems and ensure that all records are properly managed and retained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Must be able to manage their own project load, multitask & prioritize accordingly
  • Other tasks as assigned
