Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to provide contract administration and management for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). This is accomplished by overseeing administration of contracts in accordance with company policies and legal requirements; managing and overseeing the contract management database, which contains all contract related information; maintaining all relevant documents for each contract which includes, at a minimum, a copy of original contract, correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, and/or work orders; reviewing real property documents for form and content; reviewing contracts to ensure they are complete, correct and consistent; proof reading and editing to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation errors and properly formatting contracts; ensuring contract execution in accordance with company policy; maintaining a record of all open contracts, leases and expiration and renewal dates; preparing and disseminating information to appropriate employees regarding contract status; generating contract-related correspondence; seeking appropriate approval to renew expiring contracts and preparing documentation for renewal extension, route for approval, and execution. Other responsibilities include: managing travel arrangements and preparing travel authorization and reconciliation forms; tracking budget expenditures and maintaining budget information; managing purchase card processes; facilitating all contract renewal, expiration, performance, and other activity tracking processes coordinated through the contract management database; ensuring the accuracy of all information maintained and managed in the contract management database; and any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



  • A minimum four years experience or an equivalent combination of education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Preferred: Notary Public Commission


  • High School Plus Vocational Training - Obtained with advanced study or training past high school.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $22.07 to $28.14 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.

BRAZOS RIVER AUTHORITY, EOE: The BRA was created by the Texas Legislature in 1929 and exists to develop, manage, and protect the water resources of the Brazos River Basin.
