Job Description: Fusible Outside Sales Representative (Houston territory)

Core and Main Fusible Division is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to drive growth in Houston, TX, by identifying and developing new business opportunities within the HDPE fusible products sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sales in the construction, landfill, mining, agricultural, oil & gas, sewer & water, and other industrial applications. An understanding of polyethylene products and McElroy fusion equipment is a plus. We seek an individual with a dedication to providing customized engineered solutions for their clients to help them win. This role involves facilitating customer success, acquiring new clients, and establishing the company as a leader in the industry. Responsibilities will include educating potential customers, selling products and services, and expanding the company's market presence by actively seeking and nurturing revenue opportunities at Core and Main.

Business Development:

  • Actively seek and develop new business opportunities within designated territory.
  • Establish connections with key stakeholders such as plant managers, engineers, contractors, and owners; address inquiries and provide customized solutions for their specific jobsite challenges.
  • Accurately input and update prospect information in CRM systems.
  • Helping to promote our products and value add through education sessions (lunch and learns).
  • Represent C&M at industry events and professional associations to enhance brand recognition.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of C&M's products and services.

Customer Engagement & Account Growth:

  • Cultivate enduring relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with customers to deliver tailored solutions and uncover growth prospects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction and support.
  • Maintain a regular, in-person presence with clients in the field.
  • Focus on maximizing the potential of each account through strategic partnerships.

Sales Management & Execution:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive quotes, proposals, and market analyses.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies and conducting negotiations to meet business goals.
  • Analyze market trends to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Facilitate and participate in pre-construction meetings and training on C&M's products.
  • Support customers by visiting project and construction sites and providing installation related resources.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with team members to implement sales strategies and fulfill commitments.
  • Engage in team meetings, presentations, and training sessions to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment that enhances overall performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of cultivating and enhancing customer relationships within a complex sales landscape.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong skills in communication, negotiation, and organization.
  • Open to regular travel (up to 50% of the time) , dedicating up to 80% of time to customer engagement.
  • Background in technical sales, ideally with experience in polyethylene piping products and McElroy fusion equipment
