Location: Hybrid in Southfield, MI What you'll do We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive Finance Procurement Senior Specialist - Supplier Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining accurate supplier records. This role requires strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and suppliers globally across many industries. The Finance Procurement Senior Specialist - Supplier Management will report to the Finance Procurement Director and will be located in Southfield, MI. Paid relocation is not available for this position. Supplier Communication and Categorization:
- Communicate with new suppliers to gather required information and documentation.
- Categorize new suppliers based on internal criteria, business needs and risk profiles.
- Provide support to Suppliers registering in the Supplier Portal; track completion metrics and proactively work to fix problems and enforce compliance.
Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Verify supplier credentials, certifications, and financial stability using common sense, external research, and automated tools.
Supplier Records Management:
- Create and maintain supplier records in SAP and the Supplier portal.
- Ensure the supplier master list is a globally consistent, single source of truth.
- Manage lists of active, inactive and preferred Suppliers with input from internal customers.
Cross-Departmental Coordination:
- Coordinate with Business Owners, IT, Legal, Accounts Payable and People departments to support approval of new Suppliers and changes within existing Supplier records.
- Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between departments to resolve any issues related to supplier onboarding; track onboarding status and outreach to improve SLAs.
Supplier Diversity and Corporate Responsibility Reporting:
- Lead data governance, analysis, and reporting for Supplier Diversity and Sustainability programs, ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SBA, OFCCP, local mandates).
- Collaborate with Procurement, ESG, Legal, and client teams to align supplier data with evolving disclosure requirements and client expectations.
- Develop and deliver quarterly dashboards and insights for executive leadership and external clients, linking supplier diversity and sustainability progress to firm goals and stakeholder priorities.
- Partner with key suppliers to advance inclusion metrics, improve emissions tracking, and build accountability into sourcing decisions.
Quarterly Business Reviews:
- Coordinate periodic business reviews with key suppliers and stakeholders, providing support by gathering data and identifying trends.
- Catalog, track and execute savings opportunities and process improvements discovered in reviews.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience.
- Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or a related role.
- Very proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong command of supplier data systems, analytics tools, and reporting platforms; experience with SAP and/or Ariba preferred.
- Collaborative style and customer-service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people at all levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier diversity, ESG, or sustainability reporting; preferably in regulated or client-facing industries.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships, meet reporting deadlines, and drive continuous improvement in responsible sourcing metrics
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
- Experience in Professional Services or Consulting is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
