Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Strategic Advisor to join our Pharmacy Strategy team! You will act as a senior member of the strategy team within Corporate Pharmacy by leveraging industry experience and expertise to promote enterprise understanding of pharmacy, oversee strategy and execution, participate in divisional planning and budgeting, engage in special projects and innovations, and liaise with key vendor partners. The ideal candidate will have experience at a health plan and/or Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) industry, have Medicare pharmacy experience, have the proven ability to thrive within a highly matrixed organization, possess consulting and project management skills, and understand payer-PBM operations, pricing, and strategy.
What You'll Do
Proactively identify, evaluate and lead the development of strategic pharmacy projects and Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) partnership efforts to meet BCBSNC's growth objectives, as well as manage healthcare costs while improving outcomes and the healthcare experience for our members.
Lead critical activities such as developing strategic frameworks. Develop strategies for familiar and unfamiliar topics (including but not limited to topics such as transformation, Medicare quality strategy, cost of care, and new product incubation)
Present information such as strategic concepts, planning data, medical expense/reimbursement rates, drug trend, provider performance metrics and impact assessments to both internal and external audiences at all levels, including senior-level leadership.
Identify, analyze and monitor industry, regulatory, technology and market-based trends that affect departmental strategy, PBM landscape, pharmacy trends, and cost of care.
Lead strategic planning, needs analysis, content development, program design, business case development, contract execution, implementation, administration and monitoring, data analysis and program evaluation, budget management and vendor selection and vendor/contract management related to strategy execution.
What You Bring

5+ years of experience in Pharmacy at a health plan, PBM or Consulting firmstrongly preferred 1+ years of Medicare pharmacy experiencestrongly preferred 2+ years of Consulting experience

Salary Range At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs. *Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance. $75,900.00 - $136,600.00
