Description
The Network Administrator II position in Grafenwoehr, Germany supports DRTS ranges on the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: * We are looking for a qualified Computer Technician to install, maintain and repair computers and networks. * Ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities. * As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. * Ability to work diligently and accurately and possess a great problem-solving ability to fix issues and ensure functionality. * Ability to install and maintain high quality networks and computer systems. * Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly * Maintain and repair technological equipment or peripheral devices * Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated * Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies * Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * 3-5 years' experience as a Computer Systems Technologist * Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills * Proficient with basic computer systems including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications and be able to work with a computer for extended periods of time * Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and be adaptable in a high paced environment * Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid USAREUR driver's license and Post driving privileges * Must be able to obtain a valid Blue Card, VISA/Work Permit as required by German Law * Must be able to support various locations for various lengths of training support * Must be a High School Graduate or have a GED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES: * Technical accreditation's e.g. Microsoft MCSA / Cisco CCNA / etc. * Experience working within an IT customer support environment, preferably within the education sector. * Experience of working with AV equipment * Excellent troubleshooting skills * Exceptional organizing and time-management skills * Proven experience as computer technician or similar role * Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles JOB CONTEXT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
