Distribution Driver

Description

Primary Duties:



  • Safe-proof and secure all products being transported.
  • Write accurate inventory sheets of product transported.
  • Safely load and unload trucks with product.
  • Conduct accurate deliveries with correct count and quality products.
  • Maintain exterior and interior cleanliness of trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on company vehicles, including inspecting tires, brakes, fluids, and overall vehicle condition, and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Assist Internal operations when not driving or transporting material.
  • Work well and with all internal departments.
  • Manage time and set priorities daily.
  • Work in conjunction with internal departments to meet time-based needs.
  • Maintain a valid driving license with a safe driving record.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies related to the operation of vehicles or equipment.
  • Safely operate company vehicles.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service by responding to requests in a timely and accurate manner and delivering goods in a timely and precise manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.



Specifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A CDL license.
  • Valid or ability to secure Tanker endorsement.
  • Valid or ability to secure hazmat limited quantity certification.
  • Demonstrate independent abilities.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal communications.
  • Basic math



Job Relationship:



  • Report directly to the Fleet Operations Supervisor.
  • Work closely with the various Manufacturing and Operations team members.



Authority



  • Authority to stop production for non-conforming.
  • To support company policies and procedures.
  • Report non-conforming material and safety non-compliance to management.
  • Decide on accepting or rejecting products according to quality specifications.
  • Make logical decisions based on experience and company policy.
