Job Overview

The Facility and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator ensures smooth and efficient facility operations by coordinating maintenance and repairs and acting as a liaison between the North American Distribution Center (NADC), the property manager/landlord, and external vendors. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a safe and functional environment, including coordinating work orders and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, the Coordinator will ensure all applicable permitting and records are maintained for the facility and EHS compliance.This position is onsite in East Windsor, NJ.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties



  • Initiate and monitor work requests, schedule maintenance, and coordinate repairs to ensure building systems and equipment are functioning properly.
  • Assist with planning and implementing facility upgrades.
  • Manage facility and equipment records and files, and execute other administrative duties related to facilities operations.
  • Coordinate housekeeping services to maintain facility cleanliness and appearance suitable for the storage of medical capital equipment and medical devices.
  • Ensure building meets safety standards, conduct inspections, and address safety concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Tracks metrics for assessing EH&S effectiveness in the organization, including OSHA Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and OSHA Lost Worktime Case Rate (LWR).
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedure, and programs, and update the controlled documentation associated with these topics.
  • Coordinate and/or provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and emergency response.
  • Support Site Director as assistance site emergency coordinator.
  • Support incident investigations as required to support Human Resources activity.
  • Coordinate execution of emergency response drills and activities.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Must have prior experience working with local, Federal and State Authorities for permits and reporting.
  • Applied experience in the field of ergonomics and pro-active repetitive stress injury prevention is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills: Interact with various stakeholders, including vendors and internal staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills: Prioritize tasks, managing multiple activities, and meet work order (facility, equipment and calibration) due dates lines.
  • Strong critical thinking skills: Identify and resolve issues related to building operations and maintenance.
  • Strong vendor management skills: Work with external vendors and ensure timely, quality service.


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Facility Systems; HVAC, Compressed air, etc.
  • Acts as Primary Contact for all Facility related matters.
  • Requires on-call status.
  • 100% based in East Windsor, NJ facility.


The salary range for this position is from $70,000-85,000 depending on experience and location.
