THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this important role, you will work in conjunction with assigned staff to provide a variety of services to individuals, which may include supervision of children during office visits, contacting individuals who fail to keep appointments, and assisting with everyday activities and home maintenance and care. You will be expected to enter and update client information in the State ID database (HCSIS), CAS, POMS, Client Tracking, DDAP WITS and HSS programs. This includes assisting with daily record retention, sorting and verifying all paperwork received, and filing documents in the client electronic record. You will have the opportunity to answer reception phones, greet and identify the needs of clients and visitors coming to the office and assist at community outreach events with set-up, organizing, and interacting with individuals.

Other duties to include but not limited to:

  • Typing letters, reports, monthly expense reports, and other related correspondence as assigned
  • Maintaining and updating case manager caseload lists in HSS
  • Printing information from client charts when requested by case managers
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Completing tasks in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Some off hours and weekend work may be offered.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to one day per week, based on operational needs, after the successful completion of a probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Beaver Falls.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Beaver County. If no eligible candidates who live within Beaver County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
