Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Site Resource Planner to join our Team based in Mobile, AL

Meet the team:

Position Summary: The Site Resource Planner will support the Mobile Site Planning Team's mission to integrate, consolidate and advise on the Infrastructure growth and Workload/ Workforce Resource Planning of the Site in line with the A220 & A320 Ramp-up.

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing the impact of changes

MPS (Master Production Scheduling) - Understand inputs & Outputs from the A220 & A320 Programmes MPS'

  • Understanding and awareness

  • Inputs from local areas

  • Excel/G-Sheets/APC (Airbus Planning & Control) scenarios/Tactical actualisation

  • Provide supporting inputs and assumptions

  • Be able to integrate multiple plans (A220 & A320) to conduct scenarios

Sales & Operations / Resource Planning - a routine visibility process to share demand & performance data

  • Blue Collar Resource - to assess capacity/cost/build options

  • Monitor, Record, and Validate Resource assumptions and control clear stakeholder alignment

  • White Collar Resource - Ability to engage stakeholders and build function driver models for resource planning

  • Manage and use data to enable capacity planning

  • Analysis and manipulation of capacity data

Site Infrastructure Planning vs Requirements from A220 & A320 Programmes.

  • Ability to visualize Requirements of both Production Programmes vs current Infrastructure planning

  • Manage baselines and ability to tell a coherent story on evolution of plans month to month where baselines have changed

  • Coordinate scenario generation/ analysis and control of buy-off processes

  • General understanding of infrastructure capability in the scope of Aerospace/ Aircraft manufacturing

Your boarding pass:

  • A Bachelors' degree in Production Planning, Project management, Aeronautical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • 5+ years experience in Operations / Manufacturing or Manufacturing planning

  • Ability to establish and maintain a good relationship with all internal customers.

  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions

  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings; Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.

  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.

  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.

  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.

  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.

  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.

  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

  • Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.

  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions

  • Space Limitations: Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet.
