Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering SMTS TM DevSecOps Engineer in Seattle, WA: Job Duties: Design foundational data modeling and schema management that will be the building blocks for scalable and extensible solutions, with optimal storage and retrieval. Deliver cloud data solutions end to end, gather requirements from stakeholders, and translate them into data engineering tasks. Perform data analysis, semantic data modeling, and system design, and build scalable data pipelines. Perform data engineering and data integration for batch and near real-time pipelines. Streamline analysis and incident response flows, solve data reliability challenges, improve data quality, and detect data issues. Build data platforms and design, and configure, deploy, and evolve robust, secure, and optimized cloud data solutions to deliver business value to stakeholders. Design, implement, and drive multi-phased innovative strategies solving data, systems architecture challenges, data ingestion, and performance planning. Work across teams and functions, from gathering technical requirements, solution proposal, and viability assessment (through iterative Proof of Concepts) to launching solutions and working with partners on adoption. *Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered. Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python (2 years); (2) Spark; (3) SQL; (4) MapReduce; (5) Hadoop; (6) Kafka; (7) AWS; (8) EMR; (9) Lambda; (10) EC2; (11) S3; and (12) CloudWatch. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Experience with special skills can be gained through academic coursework or professional experience. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required. Salary: $178,069.00 - $216,700.00 per annum.
