What you'll own as the Software Engineer Senior

As a Software Engineer Senior, you could work with bleeding-edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

  • Lead technical designs of new features and services, which involve doing investigations, code analysis and collaborating closely with partner teams.

  • Deliver high quality features which involve contributing to design, development, testing and release.

  • Participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with multiple parties (Product Management, Agile Release Train members, Architects, DevOps etc.) from across Worldpay to brainstorm and pick best solutions for a problem within the constraints of the system.

  • Participate actively in code reviews and maintain high quality standards.

  • Assist with investigation of live system issues and propose solutions to address the root cause

  • Mentor junior team members

  • Attends all SAFe/Agile related ceremonials

  • Assess impacts of architectural direction in the areas of Security, Availability, Performance, Maintainability, and Scalability.

  • Participating in Performance tuning activities and looking for opportunities to improve platform performance.

  • Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

What you'll bring

  • 9+ years of experience in delivering software solutions in either consumer or enterprise space.

  • 7+ years of experience in .NET and related frameworks.

  • 5+ years of system design.

  • Experience with Kafka, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.

  • Experience deploying distributed apps/services on Azure platforms.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required.

  • Very good understanding of Agile software development model

  • Experience with Cloud-based (both Azure and AWS) services from .NET, and designing/coding microservice APIs targeting .NET 6 and higher

  • Experience with Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalable, resilient, and secure architectures using Azure and hybrid cloud environments.

  • Leverage expertise in Kubernetes and OpenShift to manage containerized workloads, ensure high availability, and optimize resource utilization for enterprise-grade applications.

It's a bonus if you have

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent technical design, problem solving and debugging skills.

  • Be self-driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data.

  • Ability to drive deep internal engineering conversations on potential strategy toward improving our Azure Data Servicesand own this input end to end.

  • Prior experience in leading cloud migration projects within a highly regulated industry.

The pay range for this full-time position is $113,600.00 - $190,900.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.This position is eligible for bonus.
