The ICCT seeks a versatile Editor/Writer to join a team that works across all programs and regions to ensure the integrity and quality of the research publications that are at the core of our work. This multifaceted role is ideal for an experienced editor with a careful eye for detail, a knack for storytelling, and a demonstrated knowledge of climate science, environmental policy, or transportation. A graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred, as is some experience with peer-reviewed publishing. Ability to edit in another language (Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, German, or Indonesian) is a plus but not required. The Editor/Writer will primarily handle a stream of editing assignments. A typical day could involve developmentally editing a brief about global maritime regulations in the morning and then copy editing a long technical report about biofuels in Brazil in the afternoon. Duties range from advising on the logic and structure of research reports to writing and editing summaries for op-eds and fact sheets and reviewing social media posts.This is a full-time, hybrid position that can be based out of our Washington, DC or San Francisco offices. You Have
This full-time position can be based in our Washington, D.C. or San Francisco office and have a salary of $91,700 (DC) or $100,900 (SF). We are also considering Senior Editor/ Writers for this opening. A senior editor/ writer will have a salary of $103,700 (DC) or $114,100 (SF).
