THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsible for purchasing non-stock items for the Dayton plantand processing all goods receipts for parts in SAP. Follow up with carriers and suppliers on the logistics of incoming maintenance materials and expedite parts as needed (motors, pumps, gearboxes, belts, valves, flow meters, etc.).

Coordinate logistics to send out parts to the service providers.

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and works daily with the maintenance department, including the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisor, and Electrical Supervisor. It also communicates regularly with corporate procurement and buyers/vendors.

Key responsibilities: MRP Controller

  • Analysing maintenance schedules and inventory levels.

  • Collaborating with maintenance, procurement and production teams to streamline operations.

  • Utilizing MRP systems for effective inventory management.

  • Submit a new material number request form to have new material numbers created for thestoreroom.

  • Help with overall organization and increased efficiency of the storeroom.

  • Obtain quotes and place orders for the maintenance department via credit cardor blanket PO and purchase requisitions for non-stock material, emergency Items, welding gases, andoil.

  • Write Purchase Requisition for parts needed in storeroom.

  • Follow up on the delivery status of purchase ordersandwork with suppliers to ensure that parts will arrive on time for maintenance work.

  • Run MRP for the Dayton planttwice a week, Monday and Wednesday.

  • Coordinate all trucks delivering material to the plant, maintenance, and projects.

  • Review and receive non-stock material, deliver material to purchase requisitioners.

  • Receive and deliver storeroom material to storeroom keeper, UPS, FedEx ground, Rush, Motion, Applied Industrial, andFerguson.

  • Coordinate logistics to send parts to the service providers. Ship materials as needed and schedule outgoing shipments from the plant via FedEx Freight, FedEx Rush Delivery, ground, and UPS.

  • Maintain records and documentation on repairable items, run and process a weekly repairable report.

  • Send out repairable parts including motors, write purchase requisitions, and coordinate logistics to send parts to the service providers.

  • Packageandsend the mechanical sealsof the pumpthat need repair to Flowserve.

  • Process storeroom tickets/storeroom requisitions.

  • Do bin-to-bin material transfers when needed.

  • Process goods receipts for parts received in the plant.

  • Process goods receipts for raw materials received in the plant.

  • Schedule vendors for oil removal for used oil.

  • Schedule vendors for used oil drums removal.

  • Schedule scrap motor pick-ups.

  • Process workflow items to ensure proper billing isreceived.

  • Review billing for suppliers with blanket POs matching packing slips to theinvoice received.

  • Help to organize storeroom bins.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following tasks safely:

  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.

  • Use of hand tools above shoulders.

  • Use of walk-behind pallet jacks.

  • Use of forklift to unload material.

  • Ability to wear personnel protective equipment (PPE)

Skills and experience required

  • High School graduate or GED

  • Operation of Sit-down Fork Trucks

  • Logistics knowledge/experience.

  • Knowledge of SAP - know how to do shipping, receiving, and Purchase Requisitions transactions.

  • Ability to work with computers (Windows, Office).

  • Understanding of stores reordering systems

  • Good verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels, including production, maintenance, purchasing, contractor groups, vendors, etc.

  • Good organization skills.

Total RewardsThe annual pay range estimated for this position is $62,865.60 - $78,582.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
