The Office of the Ambulatory CMO is forming its inaugural team and is seeking a Project Development Specialist to help shape its foundation. We are looking for a Project Development Specialist that will support the team's development of the initial project portfolio and be a part of the ground level of exciting and impactful initiatives. This role will report to the Ambulatory CMO's Chief of Staff and work collaboratively with their team to drive industry best practices and an exceptional culture with humility, integrity, and enthusiasm.

As a key member of this growing team, the Project Development Specialist will play a strategic role in shaping and launching initiatives that enhance ambulatory care services across our health system. This position is ideal for a professional who brings subject matter expertise, a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, and comfort navigating complex, often ambiguous challenges. The role involves extensive engagement with stakeholders across the ambulatory care environment and throughout our health system-including clinical, operational, and administrative leaders-to align goals, surface insights, and drive meaningful outcomes. With a high degree of autonomy, the Specialist will lead the design and implementation of new programs and processes, applying sound judgment, analytical rigor, and a strong proficiency with data tools and systems to build sustainable solutions that support excellence and innovation in ambulatory care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and program development initiatives
  • Design, implement, and administer system and process improvements
  • Conduct complex project and data analyses to guide operational decision-making
  • Prepare detailed proposals and recommendations to drive strategic direction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor new programs and policies
  • Facilitate high-level stakeholder engagement, manage sensitive communications, and diplomatically pursue solutions
  • Lead and/or participate in committees and workgroups focused on execution, policy development, strategy, and planning
  • Research industry best practices and recommend innovative solutions
  • Additional duties as needed
Salary Range: $83,800 - $179,400/Annually
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 8+ years of project/initiative development or management experience required
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of organizational or initiative processes, protocols, and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
  • Advanced analytical / problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of common organizational- or research-specific and other computer application programs, such as Microsoft Office and the Power Platform
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask with demanding timeframes
