As a Senior Business Intelligence & Business Objects Developer with Optum Government Solutions, you will bring a voracious appetite for standardization, continuous improvement, innovation and solutioning for State Government markets. You will be a member of a team responsible for designing and developing the various product offering and establishing the long term support structure. The primary goal and focus of this role will be to provide clear and efficient expertise that helps the client understand the data that ultimately drive actionable insights (cost, training & services).

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide Business Intelligence support for the design, delivery and implementation of Business Objects Reports including but not limited to: gather requirements, lead data discussions, establish project timeline, engage with ETL team for data requirements, resolve data issues, coordinate gap assessments, document, design and implement prototypes for Reports, conduct internal SIT and
  • UAT, support external client UAT and plan for production implementation of BI tables and Business Objects Reports
  • Create comprehensive reports and visualizations using Business Objects
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and executives and present quarterly on new projects to include insights, lessons learned and how the client is using the BI product delivered
  • Perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
  • Defines, executes and interpret complex/nested SQL queries
  • Follow / enhance established standards and best practices for BI and related technologies for the project
  • Bridge research and client data by pinpointing essential elements for analytics and product requirements
  • Lead client data education workshops for developed dashboards
  • Administer Business Objects in multiple environments (upgrades, patches, backups, server & user maintenance, performance monitoring, licensing, manage data connections)

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience developing Business Objects Reports
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis
  • 5+ years of experience as Business Objects Server administrator
  • 1+ years of experience in Teradata
  • Experience with MS Office products
  • Experience working as a Client Laison with external facing customers
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex datasets using SQL
  • Proficiency with technical and business level presentations to internal and external facing audiences
  • Skilled in creating complex queries, stored procedures, triggers and join in native SQL
  • Ability to travel as needed by the client, up to 10%



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payer environments
  • Experience with claims data

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
