The Cloud Engineer I will optimize the hybrid cloud solutions to ensure they are effectively designed, managed, and supported. This hybrid environment includes public cloud (Azure and AWS) and an on-premises Windows server environment. The Cloud Engineer will ensure seamless integration between the public and private cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing patching and compliance needs in virtual machines, as well as collaborating with our development teams on meeting organizational needs. Expertise in Azure, AWS, Windows server engineering, infrastructure applications, Cisco networking tasks, and supporting cloud-based services will be crucial in this role. This position requires supporting a 24x7 operation to ensure system stability and efficiency.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and configuring on-premises Windows servers, including roles like Active Directory and basic Group Policy.
- Participate in the routine maintenance and monitoring of virtual machines across different environments-Nutanix, Hyper-V, AWS, and Azure.
- Support cloud projects, particularly in Azure and AWS, that involve storage, security, and scalability.
- Contribute to networking tasks, including monitoring and basic configuration changes on enterprise network devices.
- Update and install patches, firmware, and software under supervision to maintain system security and functionality.
- Assist in executing and monitoring routine system backups, as well as validating the success of these backups, to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to enterprise network applications like VPNs, firewalls, and network management tools, as well as server-related applications such as database servers, web servers, and email systems.
- Administer and maintain a diverse array of enterprise applications essential for IT infrastructure, such as network management systems, database platforms, virtualization software, and security solutions. Assist in maintaining documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and process workflows.

- Actively engage in professional development activities, such as trainings or certifications, to keep skills up to date with current technologies.
- Provide first-level support for troubleshooting network connectivity issues, such as Wi-Fi outages or slow performance.
- Work Location(s): SE Wisconsin and Northern IL (must reside in WI to be able to provide onsite support and travel to Northern IL when needed. The candidate would then provide remote support to all other clinics further away.
Additional Job Description: Education/Training Requirements: 1. An associate degree in computer information systems or a related field plus two (2) years of relevant work experience or four (4) years of relevant work experience, is required. 2. Familiarity with a broad range of enterprise applications and public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS is advantageous. 3. Entry-level IT certifications in areas related to cloud computing, networking, or system administration are considered a plus.
