Ultrasound Imaging Clinical Supervisor Job Responsibilities:



  • Oversees and assists team members in assigned functional area, which may include but is not limited to, ensuring the team is meeting key deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed.
  • Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Ensures adequate staffing plans on a 24-hour basis and ensures equitable staffing requirements.
  • Demonstrates proper technique for injection of IV contrast under the American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines.
  • Works effectively with the staff/consulting physicists in all matters of the hospital pertaining to radiation protection/safety.
  • Accurately monitors radiation sources, in all aspects of the scope of work, as evidenced by acceptable compliance with NRC and hospital regulations. Demonstrates the initiative to conduct successful and timely radiation safety meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Minimum Education: Associate degree or Graduate of an accredited school/program of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine with a valid certification.
  • Experience: Three years of imaging experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with experience in an applicable imaging modality.
  • Certification:

    • Basic Life Support via American Heart Association
    • Must be certified by at least one of the following: American Registered Radiologic Technologists or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CNT or Cardiovascular Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology or Registered Vascular Technology or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists; as applicable with additional certification in an applicable imaging modality required.
    • Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography within 12 months
    • Radiologic Technologist - Mammography within 12 Minutes
    • Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 18 months



Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience: Three years of leadership experience in a hospital/healthcare environment with a diagnostic testing department.
