Job Description

About the Role:

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and collaborative Marketing Manager, Product & Demand Gen to lead client-facing marketing initiatives. You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth through full-funnel campaigns that attract and convert sponsors, exhibitors, and strategic partners across GDC's event and digital portfolio.

You'll partner closely with Sales, Event Production, Creative, and Digital Marketing to develop marketing programs that generate qualified leads, accelerate deal cycles, and reinforce GDC's value to key decision-makers. You'll also support sales enablement efforts, manage a full suite of B2B marketing assets, and ensure campaigns are measured, optimized, and aligned with growth goals.

If you're a campaign strategist who thrives at storytelling, analytics, and collaboration - and you're passionate about the game industry - this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition & Campaign Strategy

  • Develop and execute B2B demand generation strategies to drive exhibitor and sponsor acquisition across GDC's portfolio, including live event sponsorships, digital partnerships, and year-round product offerings.
  • Own multi-touch campaigns (email, digital, social, ABM, SEO/SEM) from concept to execution, tracking performance against revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing on segmentation, targeting, database strategy, and campaign delivery optimization.
  • Shape messaging across the full client journey, tailoring content for specific client personas (i.e., indie devs, middleware providers, platform partners, publishers) to increase engagement and conversion.

Sales Enablement & Asset Development

  • Create and manage sales materials including sponsor prospectuses, sales decks, landing pages, and onboarding toolkits.
  • Collaborate with Digital Product and Sales to package and promote GDC's offerings.
  • Serve as the key marketing partner to Sales, offering campaign updates, strategic guidance, training, and tools that support pipeline acceleration.
  • Support narrative development by aligning messaging with business objectives and equipping teams to speak effectively to different segments.

Campaign Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance across event and digital product campaigns, delivering actionable insights to improve ROI and retention.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure accurate lead scoring, routing, and attribution using Salesforce and Eloqua.
  • Own campaign testing and optimization, including A/B testing on subject lines, CTAs, segmentation, and creative variants.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in events, tech, SaaS, or the gaming ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated success executing multi-channel demand gen strategies that drive revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Proficient in Eloqua, Salesforce, and data-driven campaign analysis and optimization.
  • Skilled at creating sales enablement content and client-facing marketing materials.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and persona-based messaging capabilities.
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Bonus points for experience in games, media, or B2B tech/creative events.

The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience
