Account Manager - North America Wholesale, Herman Miller

About the Opportunity:

This role supports a network of Wholesale partners by creating a collaborative, inventive, assistive, and inclusive working relationship between the manufacturers (HM) and the Wholesale Partner (B&M/E-tailer). This role is process-oriented, with data-driven recommendations, assessments, and decisions to grow our business and achieve our annual sales goals.

The day-to-day responsibilities encompass sales (60%) and administrative (40%) tasks.

Sales & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HM wholesale partners, including owners, operators, and sales teams.
  • Provide product and specification support for projects.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and manage escalated customer issues.

Training & Support

  • Deliver online and in-person training for retail staff.
  • Create and present engaging products and promotional content.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Track sales performance, rebates, and order fulfilment.
  • Support forecasting and pricing strategy reviews.
  • Maintain databases and assist with price book updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with marketing, customer service, and operations teams.
  • Ensure marketing materials are aligned and distributed to wholesale partners.
  • Liaise with the Order to Cash Development Team.

Strategic Development

  • Analyze account trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide feedback on sales tools and process improvements.

Additional

  • Cultivate a strong partnership with internal teams: marketing, sales operations, contracts, customer service.
  • Continuous self-directed product knowledge and familiarity with HM design heritage, new products and company's reputation of innovative products

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, interior design, architecture or related
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales and/or wholesale.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with HM.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with retailers.
